Our client, a global medical device manufacturer, have a fantastic opportunity for a talented and experienced Operational Excellence Engineer to join the Team as they continue to innovate OpEx solutions into their high volume, complex, automated manufacturing facilities in Hampshire.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead projects in Lean transformation:
    • Support/Lead multiyear process transformation improvement strategy
    • Collaborate on design and execution of transformation improvement strategy roadmap.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of current and new manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
  • Design and implement process and process flow improvements to enhance productivity, reduce waste, while maintaining or improving product quality.
  • Utilize lean methodologies and data-driven approaches to drive continuous improvement efforts.
  • Collaborate on planning and executing Lean training programs.
  • Mentor/Lead Kaizen or problem-solving activities to drive sustainable results across Manufacturing Operations.
  • Collaborate and deploy visual management systems across manufacturing lines and supporting functions linked to management system.
  • Support New Product and Process introduction and associated ramp-up plans. Applying best manufacturing practices and systems to facilitate success.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to simplify processes, eliminate waste, and optimize operations. Support the design of new or existing equipment to meet capacity needs.
Experience required:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
  • Relevant experience required with Lean, Six Sigma or equivalent related experience.
  • Demonstrate a knowledge and use of DMAIC and Lean methodology problem solving tools and techniques at a level sufficient to develop, motivate and influence skilled team members as part of cross function problem solving.
  • Proven experience of delivering improvement activities, in a high volume, highly automated and regulated manufacturing environment (preferably in the medical device industry)
  • Understanding of change control and regulatory compliance within a medical device environment.

    We are looking for a Systems Engineer to join their R&D team, who will play a crucial role in the design of their medical device. They will be responsible for creating the technology foundation that allows successful implementation of projects that meet regulatory standards.

    Key Responsibilities:
    - Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the R&D department (Mechanical, Electronics, Software).
    - Design and develop system architectures, components, and interfaces for medical devices, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and industry best practices.
    - Conduct system integration, testing, and validation activities to ensure the performance, reliability, and safety of medical devices throughout the development lifecycle.
    - Support the development of risk management documentation, in accordance with regulatory requirements such as ISO13485 and FDA guidelines.

    Qualifications:
    - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
    - Proven experience in systems engineering within the medical device industry, including knowledge of regulatory requirements such as ISO 13485 and FDA guidelines.
    - Strong understanding of systems engineering principles, including requirements analysis, system design, integration, testing, and validation.
    - Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
    - Experience with risk management processes and techniques applied to medical device development projects.
